This 200′ x 85′ pavilion covered, refrigerated ice sheet, nestled into the hills at the entrance of the Running Y Ranch Resort is one of the most picturesque skating experiences in Oregon. The five-month skating season offers plenty of opportunities for ice enthusiasts. The ice arena offers a wide variety of ice skating opportunities including an annual ice show, hockey, broom ball, figure skating, curling, general skating, lessons, and private ice rentals.

The Annual Figure Skating Spectacular began in 2002 and is truly a community endeavor to showcase something special in the Klamath Basin. Access to the ice for figure skating is a priority at BCIA and Skating clinics as well as group and private lessons are also offered.

You don’t have to be from Canada to knock the biscuit around. The BCIA has many options available for hockey fans. Including adult league and drop-in options, and youth in-house and travel leagues. Group and private lessons are available.

Klamath lies smack dab in the middle of a back-country downhill paradise, and also has lots of options for those seeking the convenience of a ski-lift, with mountain resorts in every direction: Willamette Pass – 1.8 hrs. north, Warner Canyon – 2 hrs. east, Mt. Shasta – 2.5 hrs. south, and Mt. Ashland – 2.5 hrs. west.
